Miscellaneous Statistics

In a past life, I wasted a lot of time playing online chess. My favorite time control to play is 1-minute chess with no increment (1|0). My chess career probably peaked (or hit rock bottom depending on how you look at it) when I participated in the 2023 Lichess Summer Marathon (where the goal is to win as many games of 1|0 as you can in 24 hours) and I got top 150 out of 21270 participants (top 0.8%).

I was lucky enough to see both Jaylen Brown and Jared Goff play at Cal in my freshman year, which has led to disappointment for years to come as a Cal sports fan in the years since. The highlights of my time there were witnessing a perfect 18-0 home record in the 2015-16 Cal basketball season, the Cal football team stuffing Utah on a goal-line stand in 2016, and Cal football sweeping a home-and-home with Texas in 2015 and 2016.
