About Me

Hello! I'm Frank. 👋

I'm a software engineer, runner, cyclist, and world traveler based in New York!

I grew up in the New York City area, first in Forest Hills, Queens before moving to the suburbs, where I spent my early days running after school and curious learning about world history (which at the time I thought I would major in for college). Following the words of my high school's namesake, I then headed west for the Bay Area 🌉, where I studied computer science, applied math, and linguistics at UC Berkeley (Go Bears! 🐻). During my time in the East Bay, I attended a lot of fascinating talks, and found myself in the heart of the world of tech and Silicon Valley. After graduating, I briefly lived in Chicago and the Bay Area before moving back to New York 🗽, which I'm lucky to call home!

My interests in history and world cultures have led me to explore many places around the world, including 46 countries and 34 US states. I am generally interested in subjects revolving around the history of human culture and I also believe that the studies of language 🗣️ and geography 🌍 are powerful lenses for viewing our world. In my free time, I enjoy active pursuits like running, biking, hiking, and playing basketball, as well as playing net sports like tennis, badminton, ping pong, and volleyball. I also enjoy cooking, writing, and going to concerts and shows. I love trying new things and meeting new people!

If you'd like to reach out, my DMs are open, or feel free to e-mail me through one of the links at the bottom of the page. Would love to chat or meet up!
