About Me

Hello! I'm Frank. 👋

I'm originally from the suburbs of New York 🗽, where I spent my early days running after school and curious about history (which at the time I thought I would major in during college). Following the words of my high school's namesake, I then headed west for the Bay Area 🌉, where at UC Berkeley I discovered the world of tech, and where I went on to study computer science, applied math, and linguistics. After graduating, I briefly lived in Chicago and the Bay before moving back to New York, where I'm currently based.

My interests in history and world cultures have led me to explore many places around the world, including 43 countries + 34 states. I am generally interested in subjects revolving around the history of human culture and I also believe that the studies of language and geography are powerful lenses for viewing our world. In my free time, I enjoy doing active hobbies like running, hiking, biking, basketball, and volleyball, as well as activities like cooking, writing, and yoga. I also love trying new things in general!
